The journey of The Elusives
The Elusives began in 2014 as a Dublin-based duo with Joe Brady and Paul Gilligan, sharing a passion for writing music. Since then, we have grown, firstly welcoming Gavin Healy as the man who's experience and Bass playing skills would ground the sound and hold our ultimate live performances together. Then we welcomed Laura Hand to the band, who brings that tone and balance to the overall sound that makes it even more identifiable as "The Elusives". We look forward to adding more talented members in the coming months. Guitarist and keyboardist applications are being accepted (get in touch). More than a band
What sets The Elusives apart is that we are, first and foremost, a band. We don't just produce; we create. From the initial spark of an idea to the final master, we meticulously craft and manage our own music. This hands-on, self-managed approach ensures every note truly reflects our artistic vision, making our sound genuinely unique.
We don't conform to sounds around or run with the hounds! It's entirely ours so why not.

Paul: The creative force
Paul is the very essence of creativity within The Elusives. A gifted multi-instrumentalist, he excels as a producer, recording engineer, writer, and vocalist. His diverse talents are instrumental in shaping our unique sound, bringing depth and innovation to every track we create.
Joe: The rhythmic backbone
Joe contributes significantly as a songwriter, drummer, singer, producer, and co-engineer. His rhythmic precision and keen ear for production are vital to our band's dynamic sound. He brings a powerful energy and structure to our music, driving its pulse and depth.
Laura: The melodic voice
Laura's captivating voice and songwriting prowess enrich The Elusives' sound. As a singer and songwriter, she adds layers of emotion and melody, bringing a distinctive texture to our compositions. Her contributions enhance the storytelling within our music, making each piece resonate deeply.
Gav: Vibes and Grounding
Gav brings the depth, the low end, the funk, the groove and the steady hands when things get lively. With years of experience behind the bass, he’s got a natural feel for knowing when to hold it down and when to let loose. He’ll even pop up now and again to lend a hand on backing vocals. A seriously solid player and the glue that keeps things together, particularly useful when there’s a reckless drummer involved.
